Swiggy Dineout Turns GIRF Campaign Into Great Indian Ravi Festival Now

CW Bureau ·

Swiggy Dineout has reimagined its flagship Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) as the Great Indian Ravi Festival, building its latest dining campaign around actor Ravi Kishan and his recent popularity across social media.

The festival, which runs from September 14 to October 24, 2026, will offer diners discounts of up to 50% at more than 57,000 restaurants across 84+ cities in India.

The campaign uses the line “Discount Followsss My Brothaaaar”, inspired by one of Ravi Kishan’s viral dialogues, to connect the actor’s internet popularity with the central proposition of GIRF,  dining discounts.

Dining discounts across 84+ cities
Customers booking through Swiggy Dineout can access offers across cafés, pubs, bars, luxury restaurants and family dining establishments.

In addition to discounts of up to 50%, diners can avail themselves of an additional 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank cards. Swiggy Dineout will also offer 10% back as DineCash on every booking made through the platform.

The festival covers established dining markets such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, as well as destinations including Goa, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Udaipur.

Participating restaurant brands include Good Flippin’ Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, One 8 Commune, Mainland China, Paradise Biryani and Absolute Barbecues, among others.

Ravi Kishan becomes face of the festival
Swiggy Dineout said the decision to rename GIRF goes beyond a conventional brand association, with the company positioning Ravi Kishan as the face, voice and personality of the entire festival.

The campaign film presents Kishan in a larger-than-life role, incorporating references such as “Jaldi the Late” and “Home from Work” into the dining-out narrative.

“GIRF continues to be one of India’s largest dining movements, and every year our aim is to meet consumers where they already are. We have partnered with trending personalities and internet icons for GIRF over the last few years. This time, we have gone a step further by rechristening GIRF as Great Indian Ravi Festival,” said Swiggy Dineout AVP Marketing and Revenue Dhruvish Thakkar.

“Ravi Kishan isn’t just having a moment right now, he is the moment and has been trending across social media for the past few weeks. This is the reason why instead of simply riding that wave, we decided to build this year’s entire festival around him,” he added.

Digital-first campaign
The Great Indian Ravi Festival will be promoted across digital, social media and creator ecosystems, alongside in-app storytelling on the Dineout platform.

Swiggy Dineout said Ravi Kishan will be integrated throughout the campaign, with the festival designed to mirror his current visibility across internet culture while retaining GIRF’s core focus on dining offers and restaurant discovery.
