Cognizant and Axis Bank have announced the successful implementation and go-live of Cognizant’s Application Management Services (AMS) under the bank’s AMS 2.0 initiative, aimed at strengthening IT operations, governance and automation across critical banking applications.
The five-year agreement covers application management services across key business functions, including branch and operations, cards, corporate banking and treasury, core platforms and payments, finance and accounting, retail and wholesale banking, and data platforms and integration.
Automation-led IT operations
AMS 2.0 is a jointly driven programme designed to strengthen delivery governance, improve operational consistency and accelerate automation across application support services.
The model focuses on service reliability and cost efficiency while seeking to improve productivity, scalability and process standardisation. It also places emphasis on governance, compliance and operational discipline.
Supporting technology transformation
Axis Bank is driving the AMS 2.0 initiative as part of its broader technology transformation programme. The bank said the initiative is intended to support a scalable and resilient IT operating model capable of supporting business growth and improving system reliability.
The collaboration with Cognizant is also aimed at enhancing the stakeholder experience across critical banking platforms while strengthening the bank’s technology operations.
Five-year partnership
Under the five-year agreement, Cognizant will work with Axis Bank across a broad application landscape covering multiple business verticals.
