Ramky Infra Targets Acquisitions And Strategic Partnerships To Fuel Growth

CW Bureau ·

Ramky Infrastructure is evaluating strategic partnerships and acquisitions to add new capabilities, expand its portfolio and create greater alignment with its existing businesses, as the infrastructure company looks to build its next phase of growth.

In his message to shareholders in the company’s Annual Report 2026, Ramky Infrastructure, MD, Yancharla Rathnakara Nagaraja, said the company is also strengthening its research and development and compliance capabilities to support emerging industries around the infrastructure ecosystem.

Focus on water and environmental infrastructure

Ramky Infrastructure’s expertise in urban infrastructure, industrial parks, environmental infrastructure and water and wastewater management remains central to its business, Nagaraja said.

The company’s experience includes large-scale wastewater treatment plants and industrial effluent treatment projects, areas where execution capabilities built over several years remain important.

India’s changing infrastructure requirements are also creating opportunities in these segments, with rapid urbanisation, expanding industrial activity, increasing water stress and tighter environmental requirements driving demand for sustainable infrastructure solutions.

The company sees particular potential in water, wastewater and environmental infrastructure, where it believes its experience can support participation in the emerging growth opportunities.

Transformation with continuity

Nagaraja said the company’s transformation would involve retaining the values and execution discipline developed over the years while becoming more selective and focused in pursuing new opportunities.

“Transformation, therefore, is about both continuity and change. We will retain the values and execution discipline that have carried Ramky through the years, while becoming more selective, more focused and better prepared to respond to the opportunities ahead,” he said.

He said the company had remained focused on completing ongoing projects and meeting its contractual and financial commitments despite market challenges.

“Having successfully emerged from this process, we now have greater room to look ahead. For me, this is an important part of our transformation. The coming year will reflect our experience, capabilities and relationships developed over the years and applying them to a new set of opportunities,” Nagaraja, said.

Building the next phase

The company’s strategy signals a shift towards leveraging its established execution capabilities while selectively expanding into areas that are linked to India’s evolving infrastructure requirements.

With water availability, environmental compliance and industrial development becoming increasingly important considerations for businesses and urban centres, Ramky Infrastructure expects its established capabilities in these areas to provide a platform for future opportunities.

Nagaraja said Ramky Infrastructure had been built over decades through perseverance, execution and stakeholder trust, making the current phase significant in its evolution.

He described the year as more than another period of operations, saying it represents a period of transformation aimed at building the next phase of Ramky Infrastructure.
