Chicago Pneumatic India has launched the CPS 950-300 portable air compressor, targeting growing demand from waterwell, mining and solar foundation drilling applications.
The new compressor delivers 950 cfm at 300 psig and is designed to help contractors address deeper drilling requirements, improve productivity and control operating costs.
Deeper drilling drives equipment demand
Drilling contractors are facing increasing operational pressures, including deeper borewell requirements, varying ground conditions, declining groundwater levels, rising operating costs and tighter project timelines.
At the same time, the expansion of solar infrastructure is driving demand for high-volume foundation drilling, increasing the need for equipment that can combine airflow, pressure, fuel efficiency and reliability.
The CPS 950-300 is designed for drilling depths of up to 800 feet, allowing contractors to address deeper applications while supporting productivity and operating-cost management.
Up to 10% higher fuel efficiency
Chicago Pneumatic said the compressor offers up to 10% higher fuel efficiency while maintaining consistent drilling performance and effective hole cleaning.
Its 950 cfm airflow at 300 psig is aimed at demanding borewell and foundation drilling operations, where maintaining adequate air delivery and pressure is critical to drilling performance.
The compressor can be configured for both truck- and excavator-mounted applications, providing flexibility in transporting and deploying the equipment at challenging job sites.
Its single-sided design provides access to service points, which can simplify maintenance and help reduce downtime.
Designed for multiple applications
The CPS 950-300 can be deployed across waterwell drilling, coal and iron ore mining and solar foundation drilling. This multi-application capability is intended to allow contractors to improve fleet utilisation and take on a wider range of projects.
