Landmark Cars Ltd, a premium automotive retail network in India, and OLX India, part of CarTrade Tech Ltd, have entered into a strategic partnership to create an integrated physical and digital, or phygital, pre-owned car buying and selling experience.
The partnership seeks to combine OLX India’s digital consumer reach with Landmark Cars’ physical retail and service network, addressing the trust gap between online used-car discovery and offline vehicle inspection and transaction.
Digital discovery meets physical experience
Under the partnership, Landmark will integrate its network of more than 140 vehicle retail and service touchpoints across 12 states with OLX India’s online automotive platform.
Landmark has served more than 500,000 customers since inception, while OLX India has more than 23 million consumers buying or selling used cars annually.
The platform will bring together online vehicle discovery, physical inspection and test drives, financing, registration transfer, and post-sale servicing and warranty support.
The rollout will take place in phases, starting with select key cities before expanding pan-India based on performance metrics.
OLX to power digital journey
OLX India will lead the online customer journey, covering customer discovery and digital engagement. Its proprietary VAYA AI will support pricing intelligence, buyer-seller matchmaking, vehicle condition intelligence and market insights.
Landmark’s outlets will serve as physical “Experience Centres”, where customers can inspect vehicles and complete handovers.
Vehicles acquired and sold through the partnership will operate on a revenue-sharing model under a co-branded proposition. The offering will also include quality certification and after-sales services.
Focus on trust and convenience
The partnership is designed to combine the convenience of digital discovery with physical assurance during the used-car transaction.
Landmark Cars Ltd Executive Director Aryaman Thakker said, “Consumers today increasingly seek the convenience of digital discovery backed by the trust and confidence of a physical touchpoint. Our association with OLX India brings together complementary strengths. OLX India’s digital reach, combined with Landmark’s customer trust, inspection rigour, financing relationships and after-sales capabilities, provides us with an opportunity to address a much larger customer base.”
OLX India Chairman Varun Sanghi said, “With this partnership, we aim to offer consumers a more trusted, secure and seamless experience across the entire buying and selling journey. From discovery, pricing and matchmaking to vehicle handover, quality assurance and after-sales support, the partnership is designed to provide greater transparency, convenience and confidence at every stage of the transaction.”
The companies said the partnership will combine OLX India’s consumer reach, technology, data and market intelligence with Landmark’s dealership expertise, physical network and after-sales capabilities.
