Avis India Rolls Out ₹1,150 Airport Transfer Package Across Five Cities

CW Bureau ·

Avis India, a joint venture between The Oberoi Group and Avis Budget Group, has introduced a new airport transfer offering starting at ₹1,150, aimed at making chauffeur-driven travel to and from airports more accessible.

The new offering provides a two-hour, 20-km package for a single airport pickup or drop and is available across Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai.

Shorter airport journeys
Avis India said the offering has been designed around the changing requirements of air travellers, many of whom need a short, time-bound journey to or from an airport rather than the longer booking durations traditionally associated with chauffeur-driven services.

Chauffeur-driven mobility in India has historically been structured around full-day or extended bookings, particularly for corporate and business travel. The new airport transfer format focuses on shorter point-to-point journeys while retaining Avis India’s service standards built over more than 25 years in the Indian market.

“A chauffeur-driven ride has long been seen as a premium that is hard to justify for a short airport run, and the category has kept asking customers to book long,” said Avis India Managing Director, Aman Naagar.

“The way people fly has changed, and reaching the airport has to change with it. We have built a format around the airport journey itself, so travellers pay for what the trip actually needs. The ₹1,150 starting fare is what that flexibility makes possible,” Naagar added.

Safety and tracking
Avis India said its chauffeurs are hand-picked and third-party verified. They undergo repeated rounds of defensive-driving and soft-skills training before taking their first assignment.

The vehicles are GPS-enabled with real-time trip tracking and operate with comprehensive insurance and valid permits. A dedicated 24×7 contact centre supports each trip.

For women travellers, the service includes in-car assistance and access to the Avis Secure Desk, providing additional support during both pickup and drop.

The new airport transfer package expands Avis India’s chauffeur-driven mobility offering by creating a shorter-duration option specifically for airport journeys.
