Baazar Style Retail Ltd, one of Eastern India’s leading value fashion retail chains, has come on board as the Principal Partner for India’s upcoming international football fixtures against Brazil and Uruguay in Kolkata.

The Indian men’s national football team will take on five-time FIFA World Cup champions Brazil on October 3, 2026, followed by a match against two-time FIFA World Cup champions Uruguay on October 6, 2026. Both matches will be played at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, popularly known as Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata.

Style Baazar taps football’s cultural connect
The partnership gives Style Baazar an association with two high-profile international fixtures in a city where football has long been deeply embedded in popular culture.

The India-Brazil fixture, in particular, is expected to be a major sporting occasion, bringing one of the most recognised teams in world football to India for a match on home soil.

For Style Baazar, the association is part of its broader engagement with platforms connected to youth, culture, aspiration and shared experiences.

“Football has always been an emotion in Kolkata, and welcoming Brazil to the city is a special moment for every football lover. We are delighted that Style Baazar can be part of this landmark occasion. With Uruguay also taking on India in another marquee fixture, Kolkata is set to experience international football at the highest level. At Style Baazar, we believe strong brands are built around the passions, aspirations and experiences that bring people together,” Baazar Style Retail Ltd Chairman & Managing Director Shreyans Surana said.

Kolkata’s football culture
The arrival of Brazil and Uruguay is expected to add to Kolkata’s long-standing association with international football. The two fixtures are likely to bring together fans across generations while providing a platform for India’s engagement with global football.

For Style Baazar, the partnership also extends its positioning at the intersection of fashion, culture, youth and experiences.

The company said its association with platforms that reflect the aspirations and cultural energy of a new generation of Indian consumers is part of its efforts to deepen its connection with the wider market.

With Brazil and Uruguay set to play India in Kolkata in October, Style Baazar will be part of a sporting event expected to attract football fans from across the country.
