VinFast’s VF MPV 7 combines seven-seat practicality, flexible cabin space, electric performance and connected technology as the company targets families looking for an electric alternative in the MPV segment.
The seven-seater comes with a 60.13 kWh usable battery and a claimed 517 km range under the MIDC test cycle. It is powered by a 150 kW electric motor producing 280 Nm of torque, with power sent to the front wheels.
Comfort across all three rows
The VF MPV 7 measures 4,740 mm in length and has a 2,840 mm wheelbase. Its second-row seats feature 60:40 split functionality, sliding, reclining and one-touch tumble functions.
The third row gets reclining seats and adjustable headrests, while air vents serve all three rows. The MPV also gets a PM2.5 filter and dedicated air-conditioning controls for rear passengers.
Flexible space for passengers and luggage
With all seven seats in use, the VF MPV 7 offers 126 litres of boot space. Folding the third row increases luggage capacity to 606 litres, while folding both rear rows provides up to 1,240 litres of space.
The sliding and one-touch tumble functions for the second row also make access to the third row easier and allow the cabin to be configured according to passenger and luggage requirements.
150 kW electric motor
The electric MPV uses a 150 kW motor generating 280 Nm of torque. It offers three driving modes, Eco, Normal and Sport, while regenerative braking can be adjusted through Off, Low, Medium and High settings.
The VF MPV 7 uses MacPherson independent suspension at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear. Its unladen ground clearance stands at 185 mm.
Connected technology and safety
The cabin features a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Connected-car functions, smartphone controls, FOTA updates and a virtual assistant are also part of the package.
The gear selector is integrated into the steering column, while the D-cut steering wheel gets tilt and telescopic adjustment, multifunction controls and cruise control.
Safety features on the India-spec model include four airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist and rollover mitigation. Rear parking sensors and a rear camera are also offered.
EV ownership benefits
The VF MPV 7 supports DC fast charging at up to 80 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes, according to VinFast.
The company is also offering free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 km, whichever comes first. Eligible V-Green charging stations offer free charging until March 31, 2029.
The vehicle comes with a warranty of seven years or 160,000 km, while the battery is covered for 10 years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first. Free roadside assistance is provided for the duration of the standard vehicle warranty.
