Danfoss Power Solutions has appointed Anup Deshmukh as Managing Director of its India business, effective immediately, as the global supplier of mobile and industrial hydraulics and electric powertrain systems looks to strengthen growth in one of its key markets.

Deshmukh, who is based in Pune, will report to Henrik V. Jørgensen, President, Controls division, in the newly created role.

Focus on growth and local capabilities
As Managing Director, Deshmukh will be responsible for driving business growth and executing Danfoss Power Solutions’ strategy across India. His responsibilities will include strengthening relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders, while developing strategies to attract, develop and retain talent across functions.

He will also lead the Danfoss Power Solutions India Leadership Team and represent the Power Solutions segment on the Danfoss India country governance board.

“India is one of the most important growth markets for Danfoss Power Solutions, and I am honoured to lead the team here at this stage of our journey,” Deshmukh said.

He added that his focus would be on strengthening customer partnerships, building local capabilities and positioning the India business for long-term, sustainable growth.

Brings nearly 28 years of experience
Deshmukh brings nearly 28 years of experience across sales, business development, general management, manufacturing operations and strategic growth.

He joins Danfoss from Parker Hannifin, where he held senior leadership positions across India, China and Southeast Asia. His most recent role was Country Sales Director covering the company’s Filtration, Engineering Material, Instrumentation, Fluid Control and Motion Control groups in India.

Before joining Parker Hannifin, Deshmukh served as Sales Manager at General Electric in India.

Danfoss Power Solutions President, Controls division, Henrik V. Jørgensen said Deshmukh brings deep operational and commercial experience from India and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

He added that Deshmukh’s experience in building teams and driving growth would support Danfoss Power Solutions’ continued investment in India as a strategic market.

Deshmukh holds a degree in chemical engineering from Shivaji University, along with diplomas in marketing from NMIMS and business management from ICFAI.

The appointment comes as Danfoss Power Solutions continues to expand its presence in India across hydraulics, electrification and related technologies for mobile and industrial applications.
