Luxury Watch Works Sets Up Centre Of Excellence For Luxury Timepieces

CW Bureau ·

Luxury Watch Works (LWW), a Mumbai-based authorised service provider for international luxury watch brands, has established what it describes as India’s first unified Centre of Excellence for luxury timepieces.

The ecosystem brings together authorised after-sales technical maintenance, digital blockchain certification, horological education and lifecycle management to address the ownership and operational needs of luxury watch collectors in India.

Swiss-trained expertise at the core

The facility is staffed by Swiss-trained watchmakers with technical expertise across more than 100 mechanical calibres. It operates with brand-specific diagnostics, specialised Swiss tools and genuine original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components.

LWW is an authorised after-sales service centre for 13 international watch brands, including Baume & Mercier, Carl F. Bucherer, Chopard, Girard-Perregaux, Seiko, Cartier, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget, TAG Heuer, Ulysse Nardin and Vacheron Constantin.

Lifecycle programme for collectors

LWW has also launched Hour Circle, which it describes as India’s first lifecycle management programme for luxury timepieces. The programme covers protection against theft and accidental damage, concierge services and assistance with resale.

As part of its Centre of Excellence proposition, the company conducts Horology 101, a hands-on masterclass that introduces participants to the fundamentals of mechanical watchmaking.

Blockchain-backed authentication

LWW’s Virtual Vault Report (VVR) is a blockchain-secured digital authentication and certification platform for luxury watches. The platform is based on a more than 50-point inspection of each timepiece.

“A luxury timepiece is more than an object that tells time. It carries craftsmanship, history, ownership and, often, significant emotional and financial value,” Luxury Watch Works, Founder & Director, Sarosh Mody, said.

“Our vision for Luxury Watch Works is to create a Centre of Excellence where the complete ownership journey can be supported, from authorised after-sales service to lifecycle management, digital authentication and education,” he said.
