Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, recorded total sales of 1,33,688 units in September 2026, registering 8% growth over 1,23,550 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The company’s sales increased by 10,138 units year-on-year, with both domestic sales and exports contributing to the growth.

Exports grow 41%
Domestic sales stood at 1,08,806 units in September 2026, up 3% from 1,05,886 units in September 2025. This represents an increase of 2,920 units.

Exports, however, recorded a much stronger growth of 41%, rising to 24,882 units from 17,664 units a year earlier. The company exported 7,218 more units during the month.

Exports accounted for around 19% of SMIPL’s total sales in September, compared with about 14% in the same month last year.

Spare parts revenue hits record
SMIPL also reported an all-time high in monthly spare parts revenue during September. Revenue from spare parts reached ₹1,112 million, or ₹111.2 crore, up 26% from ₹881 million, or ₹88.1 crore, in September 2025.

This represents an increase of ₹23.1 crore in spare parts revenue over the year-ago period.

Suzuki expands product and customer engagement
Suzuki Motorcycle India Vice President – Sales & Marketing Deepak Mutreja said domestic sales improved over last year’s higher base, when GST 2.0 reforms supported customer demand.

“We thank our customers and dealer partners for their continued trust and support. September saw growth in both domestic sales and exports,” Mutreja said.

He added that as the festive season progresses, the company remains focused on meeting customer expectations and making the Suzuki ownership experience more convenient, connected and rewarding.

During September, SMIPL refreshed its GIXXER range with new colour options across the GIXXER, GIXXER SF, GIXXER 250, GIXXER SF 250 and GIXXER SF 250 FFV.

The company also launched a Hayabusa Special Edition with exclusive styling and premium finishing details. The Hayabusa range received three new colour options along with rider-focused electronic refinements.

Customer activities across cities
SMIPL conducted several customer engagement initiatives during the month. Its Road to Matsuri event in Ludhiana attracted more than 500 participants, who were given opportunities to take test rides and experience Suzuki’s two-wheeler range.

The company also conducted the Avenis Ride & Reel event in Coimbatore, which combined a riding experience with activities around reel creation and influencer interaction through Suzuki Studio.

The GIXXER Pitstop was conducted across eight cities — Delhi, Trichy, Ongul, Hyderabad, Surat, Silchar, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar — providing riders an opportunity to experience the GIXXER Series.

In Sirsa, SMIPL organised an Access Mileage Contest focused on demonstrating the scooter’s fuel efficiency under real-world riding conditions.

With the festive season underway, the company is looking to build on the September momentum across domestic sales, exports and its after-sales business.
