TVS Motor Sales Rise 24% To 6.73 Lakh Units In Sept; EV Sales Up 110%

TVS Motor Company recorded a 24% year-on-year increase in sales to 6,72,790 units in September 2026, compared with 5,41,064 units in September 2025, driven by strong growth across two-wheelers, electric vehicles, international markets and three-wheelers.

The company’s September sales were higher by 1,31,726 units from a year earlier.

Two-wheeler sales rise 23%
TVS Motor’s total two-wheeler sales increased 23% to 6,45,955 units in September 2026 from 5,23,923 units in September 2025. This represents an increase of 1,22,032 units.

Domestic two-wheeler sales grew 17% to 4,82,073 units from 4,13,279 units, an increase of 68,794 units.

The stronger growth in total two-wheeler sales compared with domestic sales reflects the contribution from international markets.

EV sales jump 110%
Electric two-wheeler sales more than doubled during the month, rising 110% to 65,799 units in September 2026 from 31,266 units a year earlier.

TVS Motor added 34,533 electric two-wheelers to its September sales volume compared with the same month last year.

EV sales accounted for around 10.2% of total two-wheeler sales in September 2026, compared with about 6% in September 2025.

International business grows 48%
TVS Motor’s total international business recorded 48% growth, with sales increasing to 1,80,700 units in September 2026 from 1,22,108 units in September 2025.

International sales were therefore higher by 58,592 units year-on-year.

International two-wheeler sales also grew 48% to 1,63,882 units from 1,10,644 units, adding 53,238 units over September 2025.

Three-wheeler sales rise 57%
Three-wheeler sales increased 57% to 26,835 units in September 2026 from 17,141 units in September 2025.

The segment added 9,694 units during the month compared with a year earlier.

Q2 sales reach 1.9 million units
For the second quarter of FY 2026-27, TVS Motor recorded sales of 1.9 million units, compared with around 1.55 million units in the corresponding quarter of FY 2025-26 based on the segment figures provided by the company.

Two-wheeler sales grew 27% to 1.8 million units from 1.5 million units in Q2 FY 2025-26.

Three-wheeler sales increased 47% to 78,475 units from 53,449 units, an addition of 25,026 units.

Total international business grew 35%, with sales of 0.5 million units in Q2 FY 2026-27 against 0.4 million units in the year-ago quarter.

EV momentum strengthens
The September numbers underline the increasing contribution of electric two-wheelers to TVS Motor’s overall volumes. While total two-wheeler sales grew 23%, EV sales expanded at more than four times that rate, rising 110% year-on-year.

The sharp increase in EV volumes also lifted their share of TVS Motor’s two-wheeler sales to about one in every 10 units during September.
