Airtel Business, the enterprise arm of Bharti Airtel, has launched Airtel IQ Gateway, which it describes as India’s first telco-grade network intelligence platform bringing multiple customer communication channels onto a single control plane.
The platform enables enterprises to manage SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice communications and number verification through silent authentication from one platform. Airtel said the DPDP-compliant solution is designed to simplify enterprise communications while strengthening security, reliability and customer trust.
One platform for fragmented communication
Enterprises today often depend on multiple vendors and tools to manage customer communications. This can result in limited visibility into message delivery, fragmented workflows and difficulties in managing communication templates.
Airtel said messages can sometimes be reported as delivered even when they fail to reach customers, while international OTP pumping by bots can inflate communication costs. Manual management of pre-approved message templates can also result in errors.
These challenges are particularly significant for sectors such as banking, financial services, government, ecommerce and logistics, where failed communications and fraudulent messages can directly affect customer trust and brand reputation.
Intelligent routing and fraud protection
Airtel IQ Gateway brings these functions together through a single control centre. The platform combines Airtel’s fraud-protection capabilities with automatic integration of its native message template system, DLT, automatic switching to backup service providers and intelligent routing across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice.
The platform also incorporates Airtel’s network intelligence and enterprise trust layers, including IQ Verify for fraud protection and Silent Authentication for SIM-based login.
According to Airtel Business, these capabilities can help enterprises identify fraudulent account creation and account-takeover attempts, as well as unusual traffic spikes. This is intended to reduce fraud losses and unexpected billing increases associated with SMS pumping.
Nationwide launch after trials
Airtel said IQ Gateway has been launched nationwide following successful trial deployments with select banks, financial institutions and other industry partners.
The company said the platform extends its experience in network-level fraud prevention for consumers to enterprise customers, enabling businesses to build safer and more resilient customer communication systems.
Airtel Business sees trust as foundation
Airtel Business, CEO, Sharat Sinha said secure-by-design customer engagement has become essential as India moves towards a safer and more inclusive digital economy.
He said Airtel’s network-grade fraud prevention capabilities, which have already been deployed across its consumer mobile and digital services, are now being extended to enterprises through IQ Gateway.
Sinha said the platform will help enterprises build brand trust while making customer conversations safer, authenticated and more resilient. He added that embedding trust at the network layer can help banks, government departments and logistics companies reduce cybercrime losses and strengthen the credibility of customer interactions.
The launch comes as enterprises increasingly shift towards multi-channel digital engagement, making secure and reliable communication infrastructure a critical part of customer experience and fraud prevention.
