Blue Dart To Raise Domestic Shipping Prices By 9-12% From January 2027

CW Bureau ·

Blue Dart Express Ltd, South Asia’s express air and integrated transportation and distribution company, will increase prices across its domestic portfolio by 9% to 12% from January 1, 2027.

The general price increase (GPI) will vary depending on the product and customer shipping profile, the company said.

Price revision from January
Blue Dart reviews its pricing annually to account for changes in operating costs and support continued investment in its network and service capabilities.

The company said the latest revision reflects higher operating costs and will support investments aimed at maintaining delivery speed, reliability and service quality.

However, customers who sign up for Blue Dart services between October 1 and December 31, 2026, will be exempt from the upcoming price increase.

Higher costs drive increase
Blue Dart, Managing Director, Balfour Manuel said reliable logistics is becoming increasingly important as India’s economy expands and businesses enter new markets.

He said sustained investment in infrastructure, technology and network capacity is required to meet growing demand amid changes in the global trade environment.

Manuel said the annual price revision will support such investments and strengthen Blue Dart’s ability to connect businesses across India while maintaining service standards.

Blue Dart, Chief Commercial Officer, Dipanjan Banerjee said rising labour and utility costs, along with inflationary pressures, continue to increase operating expenses.

The company is addressing these pressures through productivity improvements, network optimisation and increased automation, while also investing in customer experience, he said.

Banerjee said the measured price revision will help Blue Dart maintain delivery reliability, speed and service quality across its domestic portfolio.

Focus on integrated logistics network
Blue Dart said it remains focused on supporting India’s economic growth through a reliable, secure and technology-enabled logistics network.

The company will continue to strengthen its integrated air and ground capabilities, with emphasis on operational excellence, service quality and long-term value creation.

The price increase comes as logistics companies face rising costs while businesses increasingly depend on reliable express delivery networks to support domestic commerce and expanding market reach.
