Allcargo Logistics, one of India’s largest integrated logistics solutions companies, has reduced its month-end financial closing time by 30% by deploying Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, standardising financial processes and automating routine tasks across its operations.
The technology adoption has brought more than 4,000 users and over 700 operating units onto a single integrated platform, improving financial reporting, operational visibility and governance.
Founded in 1993, Allcargo Logistics operates more than 700 facilities across India and serves customers in sectors including e-commerce, automobiles and pharmaceuticals. The company adopted Oracle’s cloud-based finance applications to replace legacy on-premises systems and build a scalable technology platform to support its growth.
Finance and procurement processes automated
Using Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Allcargo Logistics has standardised and automated finance processes across its operations. The platform has reduced manual work, strengthened internal controls and improved financial reporting.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement, which forms part of the ERP suite, has helped automate end-to-end procurement processes and provide teams with a consistent view of purchasing activity across the company’s distributed operations.
The cloud platform is also intended to support the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to automate routine business processes and improve access to real-time operational information.
Digital transformation supports growth
Allcargo Logistics Chief Information Officer Sanjay Khiyani, said digital transformation was central to the company’s long-term growth strategy and its focus on operational excellence.
“With Oracle Fusion Applications for finance, we have been able to bring more than 4,000 users and over 700 operating units onto a single integrated platform,” he said, adding that this would provide a foundation for using AI to simplify workflows, improve visibility and support expansion.
Oracle India Vice President, Cloud Applications, Shailesh Singla said logistics providers needed applications capable of handling more routine work as customer expectations increased and supply chains became more dynamic.
He said Oracle’s AI capabilities and Fusion Agentic Applications would help Allcargo Logistics automate routine tasks, allowing employees to focus more on business decisions and priorities.
The adoption highlights the growing role of cloud-based enterprise software and AI in helping logistics companies streamline back-office operations while strengthening financial controls.
