Mapmygenome, a global personal genomics and precision medicine company, has completed the acquisition of Vancouver-based dnaPower Inc., strengthening its presence in North America and expanding its offerings in DNA testing, gut microbiome health, longevity and AI-driven multi-omics.
The acquisition brings dnaPower’s personal genomics business into a platform that combines Mapmygenome’s clinical laboratory capabilities, artificial intelligence expertise and international reach. The expanded platform will target preventive healthcare markets across Canada and the US.
Builds integrated testing platform
The transaction builds on Mapmygenome’s expansion in North America, following its acquisition of Vancouver-based Microbiome Insights in 2025. By integrating dnaPower with its existing operations, the company aims to bring DNA, microbiome, pharmacogenetic and longevity testing under a centralised platform.
The combined capabilities are expected to support a broader range of personalised health assessments, enabling individuals and healthcare providers to access insights into genetic profiles, gut health, medication response and healthy ageing.
Mapmygenome’s CAP-accredited clinical laboratory infrastructure is expected to play a key role in supporting the expanded business, alongside its AI-driven multi-omics capabilities.
Focus on scaling North American operations
Mapmygenome Founder and CEO Anu Acharya said the acquisition was a pivotal step in scaling the company’s North American operations.
“Pairing dnaPower’s commercial trajectory with our CAP-accredited clinical laboratories and AI capabilities positions us to define the next frontier in microbiome, longevity, and precision health testing,” Acharya said.
dnaPower Founder and CEO Dr. Lois Nahirney said joining Mapmygenome would create new growth opportunities for the Canadian company.
She said the backing of a global player with advanced laboratory infrastructure would provide dnaPower with a foundation to expand across North America and deliver advanced, high-quality products directly to customers.
Expanding preventive healthcare offerings
Mapmygenome operates in personal genomics, longevity solutions and precision medicine, offering services that include whole-genome sequencing, gut health assessments and healthy ageing solutions.
The acquisition strengthens its ability to combine genetic and microbiome data with AI-driven analysis, as demand grows for personalised approaches to health management and disease prevention.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction or provide details of the expected revenue contribution from the acquisition.
