CW Bureau ·

Transrail Lighting Ltd, a transmission and distribution (T&D) engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company, has secured new orders worth ₹927 crore, taking its order intake for the year to ₹3,356 crore.

The fresh orders primarily comprise domestic EPC projects for 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines, along with conductor supply orders for the US market.

The latest wins extend the company’s recent order momentum, with Transrail declaring orders worth more than ₹2,300 crore over the past three weeks.

Domestic transmission projects drive order inflows
The new contracts reinforce Transrail’s presence in India’s power transmission infrastructure market, where demand for high-voltage transmission networks is supported by the need to strengthen grid capacity and integrate additional power generation.

The 765 kV and 400 kV transmission line projects form the bulk of the latest order wins, while conductor supplies to the US provide an international component to the order book.

The company has expanded its in-house manufacturing capabilities for transmission towers and conductors, supporting its EPC operations and product supply business.

Transrail expects its manufacturing capabilities, combined with domestic and international demand for transmission and distribution infrastructure, to support its growth ambitions.

CEO highlights growing competitiveness
Transrail Lighting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Randeep Narang said, “The strong momentum in our order inflows underscores Transrail’s growing scale and competitiveness in the power T&D sector. Our ability to secure complex transmission EPC projects, backed by our in-house tower and conductor manufacturing capabilities, remains a key differentiator.”

“With a strong foothold in the domestic market and an expanding international business, we are focused on building a well-diversified business across our products and services,” Narang added.

The latest contracts strengthen Transrail’s order pipeline across EPC projects and equipment supplies, while the mix of domestic transmission projects and overseas conductor orders reflects its presence across multiple segments of the power T&D value chain.
