Ultraviolette Automotive has launched the X-47 Venom electric motorcycle with an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh, introducing its new VX-100 100V architecture aimed at improving performance, range, charging speed and battery safety.
The Bengaluru-based electric mobility company said the next-generation motorcycle delivers an IDC-certified range of 343 km, a top speed of 155 kmph and peak power of 30 kW (40 hp). It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and supports 12 kW DC fast charging.
Bookings open on October 22 at 4 pm through the company’s website and its UV Space Stations across India. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. The X-47 Venom will make its European debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan on November 3.
New platform targets performance gains
The X-47 Venom is the first motorcycle built on Ultraviolette’s new VX-100 architecture. The platform combines the company’s SRB-11 battery technology, UV LIGHTFURY electric motor and a next-generation motor control unit.
The motorcycle generates 550 Nm of torque at the wheel and has a kerb weight of 180 kg, making it up to 20 kg lighter than its predecessor. It also features 200 mm of ground clearance and a 1.6 kW onboard charger.
The SRB-11 battery technology offers up to 20% higher energy density and twice the cooling performance, while an optimised thermal management system is designed to dissipate heat up to 50% faster. The modular architecture is intended to support different battery capacities and vehicle configurations across the company’s future product range.
Radar technology and battery safety
The motorcycle features UV Hypersense radar intelligence, using a 77 GHz rear radar capable of monitoring distances of up to 200 metres. Its functions include blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and rear-collision warnings.
Other features include a 7-inch UV Interface X touchscreen, integrated front and rear dashcams, and cruise control.
Battery safety is supported by a smart battery management system, cell-level fuses and a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds when a critical fault is detected. The battery enclosure also has IP67-rated protection against dust and water immersion.
Ultraviolette CEO and Co-founder Narayan Subramaniam said the VX-100 platform establishes a technology foundation for a new generation of products across segments and markets.
Ultraviolette CTO and Co-founder Niraj Rajmohan said the integrated engineering approach combines the new architecture, battery technology, lighter motor and motor control unit to improve power delivery, efficiency, thermal performance and safety.
Safety expands beyond the motorcycle
Ultraviolette has also introduced B-MAX, a reusable rider safety vest designed to extend protection beyond the vehicle. The company said the vest meets twice the CE safety standards benchmark cited for the product and provides 86% force attenuation, protecting critical areas including the chest, back, collar, sides and hips.
