PhysicsWallah’s School of Startups (PW SoS) has partnered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to support 25,000 early-stage startups through training, mentorship, incubation and access to seed funding.
The two-year partnership with Startup India aims to strengthen grassroots entrepreneurship, deep-tech innovation and venture incubation, with a focus on Tier-II and Tier-III cities and rural areas.
The initiative will combine online and residential training programmes with product prototyping guidance, incubation infrastructure, investor access and early-stage capital to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable businesses.
Multiple programmes for startup founders
PW School of Startups will offer programmes tailored to entrepreneurs at different stages of business development.
Its PW UDYAMI programme will provide 90 days of live online training followed by one year of mentorship, targeting aspiring entrepreneurs in small towns and rural areas.
The five-day Aarambh Immersion programme will focus on prototype development, pitch preparation and networking. For startups seeking growth capital, the Growth Stage CEO Programme will support 200 DPIIT-recognised ventures through four hybrid cohorts, helping founders prepare for growth-stage funding.
The six-month PW DeepTech Accelerator will provide selected high-potential ventures with support for accelerated growth and funding.
Early-stage innovators will also have access to proof-of-concept opportunities, corporate pilot projects and seed investment through the annual National AI Startup Challenge and SeedX initiative.
In addition, startups can access incubation facilities and seed grants through the StartinUP Business Incubation Centre, approved by the Uttar Pradesh government and hosted by PW School of Startups.
Focus on entrepreneurship beyond major cities
“Supporting entrepreneurs beyond Tier-I cities is key to building a stronger startup ecosystem in India. Our partnership with PhysicsWallah School of Startups will help grassroots innovators access the resources, mentorship and infrastructure they need to turn their ideas into scalable, job-creating businesses across Bharat,” said DPIIT Additional Secretary Ateesh Kumar Singh.
PW School of Startup Head Rounaq Mustafa said the partnership would seek to make entrepreneurial knowledge, mentorship and funding more accessible to aspiring founders across the country.
PW SoS aims to combine its entrepreneurship programmes with Startup India’s national network and outreach to strengthen regional innovation hubs.
The partnership also builds on PW SoS’s status as an accredited incubator under the Uttar Pradesh government’s StartinUP initiative.
Expanding PhysicsWallah’s ecosystem
PhysicsWallah, founded by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari in 2020, operates across online, offline and hybrid education platforms. Its offerings include test preparation, skill development, higher education coaching and overseas education services.
Initially launched as a YouTube channel in 2014, the company has expanded through its digital platforms, technology-enabled centres and educational content in multiple Indian languages. Its shares were listed on the National Stock Exchange of India and BSE on November 18, 2025.
