Electric two-wheeler manufacturer BGauss has partnered with Bengaluru FC as associate partner for the 2026-27 season of the Indian Super League (ISL), extending its sports marketing strategy to football after earlier associations with kabaddi and cricket.
The partnership marks the brand’s third major sporting association as it seeks to strengthen its connect with younger consumers and expand its engagement beyond the electric two-wheeler market.
Under the association, BGauss will undertake matchday branding, fan engagement activities, digital campaigns, content collaborations and promotional activations. The company will also explore dealership-led initiatives across Bengaluru and Karnataka to extend fan interactions beyond the stadium and into its retail network.
Dealerships to become fan engagement touchpoints
The dealership-led initiative is aimed at bringing football fans closer to the brand through interactive experiences and product discovery opportunities. BGauss expects these activities to help integrate consumer engagement with its retail expansion strategy.
The company said its entry into football was part of a broader effort to build brand relevance among younger consumers, who increasingly evaluate mobility choices based on design, technology and lifestyle preferences.
BGauss Brand Director Priyanka Kabra said the company’s sporting associations were rooted in the belief that brands become more relevant when they participate in the passions and communities that matter to consumers.
The brand began its sports engagement through its association with Tamil Thalaivas in the Pro Kabaddi League, followed by a partnership with Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. The Bengaluru FC association extends this strategy to football.
Kabra said the company was also looking to build on its recent product launches, including Oowah Max Plus and C12 MaxR, to address the changing expectations of electric two-wheeler consumers.
Bengaluru FC brings a strong football following
Bengaluru FC Director of Football Darren Caldeira said the club was delighted to welcome BGauss as an Associate Partner for the 2026-27 season.
He said the association would help create meaningful experiences for fans while connecting them with a brand focused on innovation, technology and the future of mobility.
Founded in 2013, Bengaluru FC has emerged as one of India’s prominent football clubs, having won the Indian Super League title in the 2018-19 season, two I-League titles and two Federation Cup titles.
The club also has prominent Indian footballers such as Sunil Chhetri and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu in its ranks and enjoys strong support from its fan community, including the West Block Blues.
Sports marketing gains importance for BGauss
The latest association reflects BGauss’ strategy of using multiple sporting platforms to reach different consumer segments. While its Tamil Thalaivas partnership provided access to kabaddi’s regional and grassroots following, the Rajasthan Royals association offered a cricket-led platform for wider youth engagement.
Football now gives the electric mobility brand another opportunity to connect with urban consumers, particularly in Bengaluru and Karnataka.
The company plans to continue exploring sports, youth and culture-led partnerships alongside its product and retail initiatives, with the objective of building sustained consumer engagement and strengthening awareness of electric mobility.
