Trev Mobility Names Ayush Agrawal As Co-founder & COO To Spur Growth

CW Bureau ·

Trev Mobility, a premium chauffeur-driven electric mobility platform, has appointed Ayush Agrawal as Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO), as the company looks to expand its electric mobility operations across new markets and longer-distance journeys.

Agrawal joins Trev from Shoffr, where he served as COO. At Trev, he will work closely with Founder and CEO Naveen Gupta to lead operations and support the company’s expansion.

From two EVs to 100-plus fleet
Trev, which began operations with two electric vehicles, has grown its fleet to more than 100 EVs and completed over 60,000 rides.

The company recently expanded to Jaipur, marking its first market outside Delhi NCR. Having established its operating model in Delhi NCR, Trev is now looking to develop capabilities to operate electric mobility across a broader range of use cases and geographies.

Its services include airport transfers, city rides, chauffeur-driven rentals, corporate travel and outstation journeys.

Focus on operating systems
Agrawal’s mandate will include strengthening Trev’s operating systems across fleet deployment and utilisation, chauffeur operations, city-level teams and service delivery.

His experience at Shoffr includes managing and scaling a chauffeur-driven mobility business, giving him exposure to fleet economics, utilisation and on-ground operations.

As Trev expands into long-haul and intercity mobility, these operational capabilities will become increasingly important, with factors such as fleet availability, chauffeur deployment, vehicle uptime, charging schedules, route planning and service consistency playing a larger role.

Building EV mobility across use cases
Trev Founder and CEO Naveen Gupta said India’s EV ecosystem is moving beyond simply increasing the number of electric vehicles on the road, with the next opportunity being the development of operating models that can make EVs work reliably across different use cases.

“India’s EV ecosystem is moving into a phase where the conversation has to go beyond putting more electric vehicles on the road. The next opportunity is to build operating models that can make EVs work reliably across different use cases, including long-haul and intercity mobility,” said Gupta.

Gupta said Agrawal’s experience in building and operating a chauffeur-driven fleet business, along with his understanding of fleet economics, utilisation and on-ground operations, would be relevant to Trev’s next phase of growth.

“Together, we want to create an operating model that can demonstrate how EV mobility can scale reliably across cities and longer-distance journeys, while maintaining the level of service and customer experience that Trev is built around,” he added.

Intercity operations bring new challenges
Trev said its growth so far has involved operating EVs in real-world urban and intercity conditions, covering airport transfers, city travel, chauffeur-driven rentals, corporate travel and long-haul journeys.

As the company enters new cities, it is focusing on creating repeatable processes covering fleet management, chauffeur quality, vehicle utilisation and customer experience.

Long-haul and intercity journeys also require greater coordination around vehicle uptime, charging schedules, route planning and fleet and chauffeur availability.

Agrawal to lead next phase
Agrawal said the success of an EV fleet depends on operational factors beyond the vehicle itself, particularly as journey distances and operational complexity increase.

“Utilisation, charging, chauffeur deployment, route planning and service consistency all become critical as the distance and complexity of journeys increase,” said Agrawal.

“Trev has an opportunity to build this operating model with EVs at the centre, particularly across long-haul and intercity travel, and I am excited to work with Naveen and the team on building that at scale,” he added.

With the appointment, Trev plans to continue expanding its electric fleet, entering new markets and strengthening the teams and systems supporting its operations. The company currently operates an all-electric fleet across Delhi NCR and Jaipur
