Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd has announced a leadership transition, with Manish Anandani set to take over as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer from Prabha Narasimhan, who is moving to a new leadership role within the Colgate-Palmolive group.
The company’s Board of Directors, at its meeting on August 21, 2026, noted Narasimhan’s resignation as MD & CEO, effective close of business on September 27, 2026. She has been promoted as Executive Vice President, Marketing, Asia-Pacific Division of Colgate-Palmolive.
Anandani to take charge
Based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board approved the appointment of Anandani as MD & CEO for a period of five consecutive years, effective September 28, 2026, subject to shareholder approval and other applicable statutory approvals.
Anandani brings 30 years of experience spanning sales, marketing, general management and senior leadership roles. He joins Colgate-Palmolive India from Kenvue, where he served as Managing Director for India and South Asia.
Experience across consumer businesses
Anandani has expertise in enterprise strategy, digital and e-commerce transformation, and market expansion across developed and emerging economies.
During his tenure at Kenvue, he also served as Managing Director of Johnson & Johnson Philippines and Vice President – Sales & Professional Marketing for India.
Returning to Colgate-Palmolive
Anandani is returning to Colgate-Palmolive, where he had earlier spent more than a decade. He joined the company in 2005 as Regional Manager and subsequently held multiple roles across India, Indochina and the corporate office before leaving in 2018.
In his last role with Colgate-Palmolive, as Worldwide Director in the Global Customer Development function, he worked on strengthening global capabilities around retail marketing and shopper development.
Academic credentials
Anandani holds a degree in Electronics and an MBA in Marketing. He also holds an Executive MBA in Leadership from the Tuck School of Business, USA.
The company said none of its directors are inter-se related to Anandani. It also disclosed that he is not debarred from holding the office of director pursuant to any order from SEBI or any other authority.
Narasimhan moves to regional role
Narasimhan’s resignation follows her promotion to the Asia-Pacific leadership role within Colgate-Palmolive. In her resignation letter, she said she would also cease to be a director of the company and member of its Stakeholders’ Relationship Committee, ESG & Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and Risk Management Committee from September 27, 2026.
The leadership transition will take effect from September 28, with Anandani succeeding Narasimhan as the company’s MD & CEO, subject to the required approvals.
