Japanese home appliances major AKAI has launched its new range of nature-inspired refrigerators in India, introducing two aesthetic variants, Violet Leaf and Golden Flower.
Designed for modern Indian homes, the new 190-litre AKAI Direct Cool Single Door Glass Finish refrigerators combine compact form with contemporary aesthetics and features aimed at everyday convenience.
Nature-inspired designs
The Violet Leaf variant features violet leaves against a black background, complemented by water droplets inspired by nature and changing seasons.
The Golden Flower variant features a floral golden pattern with gold dust, creating a black-and-gold combination designed to complement contemporary kitchen interiors. The smooth reflective glass surface also facilitates easy cleaning.

Freshness and cooling
The refrigerator comes with a Deep Fresh Zone and an anti-bacterial locking system. Its temperature stabilisation system and removable anti-bacterial gasket are designed to help keep fruits and vegetables fresh and hygienic for longer.
The refrigerator also features three temperature settings under the “One Fridge. Three Moods.” cooling system. Users can adjust the temperature according to their requirements, from cooling beverages to storing fresh produce, making the refrigerator suitable for different seasons.
Storage for Indian kitchens
The 190-litre refrigerator features a 12-litre vegetable box designed to accommodate weekly grocery requirements. Its Large Aqua Space is designed to hold multiple heavy beverage bottles.
The refrigerator is also equipped with heavy-duty toughened glass shelves that can accommodate heavy utensils and containers. The adjustable shelves allow users to customise the interior storage configuration.
Convenience and energy efficiency
The refrigerator features manual defrosting, a Clean Back design and stabilizer-free operation to handle voltage fluctuations without requiring an external stabilizer.
An LED interior light provides illumination throughout the refrigerator while consuming less energy.
The refrigerator consumes 197.2 units of electricity annually. It comes with a 10-year compressor warranty and a one-year comprehensive warranty.
