Hical Technologies Begins Work On Aerospace Production Hub In Hosur

Hical Technologies, a Bengaluru-based precision electromechanical manufacturer serving global aerospace and defence platforms, has broken ground on a new 160,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as it looks to expand its aerospace-qualified precision manufacturing capabilities.

The new facility will support the company’s growing portfolio of global aerospace original equipment manufacturer (OEM) programmes by adding advanced precision machining, fabrication and special process capabilities.

Expanding aerospace manufacturing capacity
The Hosur plant marks the next phase of Hical Technologies’ expansion in the aerospace and defence sector and is expected to enhance the company’s ability to execute complex, high-precision manufacturing programmes for international customers.

The company said the new facility will complement its existing electromechanical manufacturing operations while helping meet the growing demand for dependable India-based aerospace supply chain partners.

Focus on advanced manufacturing
Designed as an aerospace-qualified manufacturing centre, the facility will feature precision machining, fabrication and specialised processes supported by investments in automation, digitalisation, advanced manufacturing skills, operational flexibility and sustainability.

Hical Technologies said the plant is being developed to meet NADCAP certification requirements and other aerospace qualifications required by global customer programmes.

Strengthening India’s aerospace ecosystem
Hical Technologies Managing Director Yashas Jaiveer said the groundbreaking represents an important milestone in the company’s four-decade journey.

He said global aerospace customers are placing increasing confidence in India’s ability to deliver complex, high-precision manufacturing that meets international standards. The new facility, backed by investments in advanced manufacturing processes, automation and aerospace certifications, is expected to strengthen Hical’s capabilities while contributing to India’s growing role in the global aerospace supply chain.

Located in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district along the Karnataka border, Hosur has emerged as a key precision manufacturing hub owing to its proximity to Bengaluru’s aerospace and defence ecosystem, well-developed industrial infrastructure and access to a skilled technical workforce.
