Nissan India Logs July Wholesales At 9,339 Units; Tekton Deliveries Start

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) reported its highest-ever monthly wholesale performance in July 2026, driven by robust domestic demand and strong exports, while also commencing customer deliveries of its newly launched premium SUV, the Tekton.

The company recorded total wholesale dispatches of 9,339 units during July, comprising 4,518 units in the domestic market and 4,821 units for exports. Domestic wholesales registered a sharp 218% year-on-year growth, underscoring the company’s renewed momentum in the Indian market.

The milestone comes days after Nissan began nationwide deliveries of the all-new TEKTON on July 20, following its global premiere on July 9. The launch expands Nissan India’s SUV lineup to three models, Tekton, Magnite and Gravite, strengthening the company’s presence in the fast-growing SUV segment.

Tekton strengthens SUV portfolio
According to Nissan, the Tekton, has been developed to offer a premium SUV experience for Indian customers while drawing design inspiration from the iconic Nissan Patrol.

Nissan Motor India Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said the strong July performance reflected growing customer confidence in the brand.

“The 218% year-on-year growth in domestic wholesales in July is a strong reflection of the momentum Nissan is building in India, and the confidence customers continue to place in our brand. The commencement of customer deliveries for Tekton is another significant milestone, further strengthening our SUV portfolio and marking an important step in Nissan’s growth journey.”

He added that the Tekton,celebrates Nissan’s 75-year SUV heritage by combining bold design, strong driving dynamics, advanced safety technologies and premium comfort.

Record-setting Himalayan drive
Ahead of customer deliveries, Nissan showcased the Tekton’s capabilities through a record-setting expedition recognised by the India Book of Records.

A convoy of 60 Nissan v SUVs travelled from Chandigarh to Leh via the 16,703-foot-high Shinku La in the Zanskar region, setting a record for the “Largest Convoy of Single-Model 4-Wheeler to Reach Leh.”

The company said the expedition highlighted the SUV’s durability, off-road capability and engineering excellence in challenging terrain.

Retail network expansion
With the addition of the Tekton, Nissan is transitioning from a single-product portfolio to a three-model lineup in India. The automaker said it is simultaneously expanding its retail and service network to improve accessibility, enhance customer convenience and strengthen the overall ownership experience.

The company reiterated its commitment to introducing globally developed products, expanding customer touchpoints and delivering long-term value through improved service standards and product innovation.
