Global media and hospitality company Time Out Group plc has entered into a binding franchise agreement with Quint Digital Ltd for the development and operation of Time Out Market Delhi, marking the first franchise agreement for the Time Out Market brand anywhere in the world.
The agreement follows the three-year exclusive option granted to The Quint in May 2025 to explore opportunities for launching Time Out Market locations in India.
Capital-light expansion strategy gains momentum
Under the agreement, Quint Digital will develop, fund and operate Time Out Market Delhi in line with Time Out’s globally recognised Market concept and operating standards. Time Out Group will not contribute capital towards the project and will instead earn revenue through franchise fees and ongoing payments.
The deal represents another step in Time Out Group’s strategy to expand its Time Out Market portfolio through capital-light partnership models while extending its global footprint.
Aerocity location targeted for 2026 launch
Time Out Market Delhi will be located at 5 Worldmark in Aerocity, part of the new phase of the Worldmark development. The market is currently expected to open during the second half of 2026.
Spread across approximately 24,500 sq ft, the destination will feature 11 food and beverage concepts along with cultural programming and events designed to showcase the best of Delhi’s culinary and creative talent.
Editorially curated market concept
Time Out Market is positioned as the world’s first editorially curated food and cultural market, bringing together leading chefs, restaurateurs, beverage concepts and cultural experiences from a city under one roof.
Time Out’s editorial team will work alongside the local operating team to ensure that the Delhi market reflects the city’s food, culture and creative ecosystem.
The company currently operates 13 Time Out Markets globally, with several additional locations under development.
