MALAYALI Beer Wins World Beer Awards Recognition For All Products

CW Bureau ·

Polish-origin beverage brand MALAYALI Beer has received World Beer Awards recognition for every product in its portfolio, with three Silver awards at the 2026 edition of the global competition.

MALAYALI Power received Silver in the Strong Beer category, while MALAYALI Habibi 0.0% won Silver in the No & Low Alcohol category and another Silver for its packaging design.

Awards span portfolio

The 2026 recognition follows Gold for MALAYALI Lager and Bronze for MALAYALI Non-Alcoholic at the 2025 World Beer Awards.

The company said this makes MALAYALI the youngest beer brand to have its entire portfolio recognised with World Beer Awards in just four years since inception.

Brand built from European and Indian influences

Founded four years ago by Chandramohan Nallur and Sargheve Sukumaran, MALAYALI Beer originated after an unexpected supply-chain disruption in Europe prompted the founders to experiment with brewing.

Combining European hops with Indian rice flakes, the founders developed a hybrid brew designed to offer a smooth and accessible drinking experience.

Management comment

“Three years ago, we could never have imagined that an idea starting almost accidentally would lead us here. This recognition validates our strategy to build a versatile portfolio catering to different lifestyle choices and drinking occasions,” MALAYALI Beer, Co-Founder, Chandramohan Nallur, said.

Expanding global distribution

The MALAYALI name pays tribute to Kerala and its global diaspora. The brand has positioned its products for international markets while retaining its Indian roots.

MALAYALI Beer is now distributed across 25 countries, with a presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Its products are also available at three major airport duty-free locations, including the Muscat International Airport business lounge.

Middle East presence grows

In the Middle East, LuLu Group has opened shelf space for MALAYALI Habibi 0.0%, the brand’s zero-alcohol malt beverage, along with Adipoli, its tropical hydration drink.

The company is also expanding its presence in travel retail as it seeks to build international visibility for its portfolio across different beverage categories.

Focus on zero-alcohol innovation

MALAYALI Habibi 0.0% is a zero-alcohol, zero-sugar beverage developed for consumers seeking alternatives to traditional alcoholic drinks.

The company said Habibi is the second beer brand globally to launch a zero-sugar, zero-alcohol variant. MALAYALI Beer sees the category as an important part of the future of modern lifestyle drinking rather than a short-term trend.
