Apollo Health and Lifestyle Ltd (AHLL), a healthcare services provider and subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, has entered into a combination with Kids Clinic India Ltd to merge their mother & child and fertility businesses and create one of India’s largest integrated maternity and fertility care platforms.
AHLL operates its businesses under the brands Apollo Cradle and Apollo Fertility, while Kids Clinic India runs its operations under the Cloudnine brand.
AHLL to hold 9.9% stake
The combined entity will be backed by investors including Temasek, True North, TPG NewQuest and AHLL.
Following completion of the transaction, AHLL will hold a 9.9% stake in the merged platform, becoming its largest non-financial shareholder, while Cloudnine founders will continue to retain a minority stake.
Deal values AHLL vertical at ₹1,550 crore
The proposed combination values AHLL’s standalone mother & child and fertility verticals at ₹1,550 crore through a combination of cash and equity in the merged entity.
The combined platform will operate more than 55 centres across key Indian markets and will have one of the country’s largest pools of senior clinicians in the maternity and fertility care segment.
Focus on women and child healthcare
AHLL Chairperson Sangita Reddy said Apollo Cradle helped redefine specialised maternity and newborn care in India through clinical excellence and woman-centric care.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment for the future of women’s healthcare in India,” she said.
According to Reddy, the collaboration would accelerate access to premium maternity, fertility, neonatal and paediatric care while improving outcomes, patient experience and continuity of care.
Combined network across major cities
Under Apollo Cradle, AHLL operates 12 maternity centres across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR and Punjab, while Apollo Fertility runs 20 fertility centres across India.
Cloudnine operates 46 maternity, child and fertility centres across Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Punjab and Chennai.
