Mphasis Ltd, a global AI-led and platform-driven technology solutions provider, and Indian School of Business (ISB) have launched the ‘Mphasis AI Hub’, a cross-functional collaboration aimed at accelerating AI-led research, innovation and capacity building for societal and sectoral impact in India.
The initiative, supported by the Mphasis F1 Foundation, will see an investment of ₹20 crore over four years in the first phase to advance research and applied AI solutions.
Focus on healthcare, finance
The initiative will initially focus on healthcare and finance, with plans to subsequently expand into other priority sectors.
At the centre of the partnership is a dedicated AI research hub at ISB designed to serve as a platform for interdisciplinary research and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
The initiative seeks to advance responsible AI innovation in financial and healthcare sectors through research addressing real-world challenges, evaluation of AI deployments in live environments, digital literacy programmes and institutional capacity building.
Research, policy and AI learning
The Mphasis AI Hub will also work on developing frameworks to assess business value and long-term sustainability of AI deployments, besides generating policy insights and AI learning resources.
The collaboration will further support faculty-led pedagogical innovation and strengthen engagement across academia, industry and government.

Mphasis Senior Vice President & Global Head – ESG, Sparkle Innovation Ecosystem and Communications Deepa Nagraj said the initiative would help advance responsible and informed decision-making as AI continues to reshape industries.
ISB, Dean Madan Pillutla said the partnership would strengthen the institution’s commitment towards building knowledge that helps shape India’s future through innovation, inclusion and evidence-based decision-making.
The companies said the initiative aims to unlock new possibilities at the intersection of AI, innovation and societal impact by combining ISB’s academic expertise with Mphasis’ technology capabilities.
