Global premium motorcycle brand Harley-Davidson is strengthening its footprint in India through its partnership with Hero MotoCorp, with the launch of new full-line dealerships in Kochi and Bengaluru. The expansion takes Harley-Davidson’s network in the country to 22 full-line dealerships, reflecting the companies’ continued focus on India’s fast-growing premium motorcycle segment.
The newly inaugurated outlets will retail the complete Harley-Davidson portfolio in India, including globally sourced completely built unit (CBU) models and the locally manufactured Harley-Davidson X440 range produced by Hero MotoCorp. With this move, customers in both cities will gain access to the brand’s full lineup under one roof.
Designed to reflect Harley-Davidson’s latest global retail identity, the dealerships will operate as fully integrated 3S facilities, offering sales, service and spares, along with Harley-Davidson genuine merchandise and accessories. The outlets will also support the local chapters of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G), the brand’s global community platform that connects riders through events and shared experiences.
To mark the openings, the two companies are hosting “Inaugural Rides” in both cities—community rides aimed at celebrating Harley-Davidson’s legacy and the spirit of motorcycling. Bengaluru hosted the first ride on March 1, 2026, while Kochi will hold its event on March 31.
According to Harley-Davidson business unit head Ravi Avalur, the partnership between Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp has helped strengthen the brand’s presence in India through a growing network of premium dealerships offering the complete Harley-Davidson experience. He noted that cities such as Kochi and Bengaluru have long-standing riding cultures, making them strategic locations to deepen the brand’s engagement with motorcycling enthusiasts.
The network expansion comes amid strong market response to the Harley-Davidson X440 platform, which has helped bring new riders into the brand while reinforcing consumer trust. The introduction of the X440 T variant, offering enhanced riding capabilities, has further expanded the platform’s appeal to a broader segment of riders.
Harley-Davidson has also strengthened its premium lineup in India with the introduction of the Cruiser Softail 117 range and the return of its high-end custom vehicle operations (CVO) models last year, adding to the brand’s aspirational appeal in the country.
Currently, the Harley-Davidson X440 range is available through 115 Hero Premia dealerships and 22 dedicated Harley-Davidson dealerships across India. With the addition of the new outlets, the Harley Owners Group community will also expand, taking the number of H.O.G chapters in the country to 33.
For Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp, the latest expansion signals a deeper push into India’s premium motorcycling ecosystem, combining iconic global products with a growing retail and community network to strengthen the brand’s presence among enthusiasts and new riders alike.
