Exicom Tele-Systems Ltd, one of India’s leading EV charging and critical power solutions companies, has inaugurated a new integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, marking a significant step in strengthening its production capabilities.
The new facility, built with an investment of ₹216 crore, aligns with the company’s long-term strategy of advancing localised manufacturing while developing globally competitive technology infrastructure from India.
Expanding Manufacturing Capacity
Spread across 18.4 acres with a total built-up area of 2,80,000 square feet, the Hyderabad plant significantly enhances Exicom’s manufacturing footprint. In its Phase I, the facility is expected to increase the company’s overall production capacity by 2.5 times while creating more than 750 jobs in the region.
The facility will cater to the rapidly growing demand for EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions across both domestic and international markets. These technologies are central to powering electric mobility, telecom networks, data centres, and other mission-critical infrastructure that require uninterrupted energy supply.
Industry 4.0 Driven Facility
The manufacturing unit has been designed around Industry 4.0 principles, integrating advanced automation, robotics, and digital traceability systems to enable precision manufacturing at scale.
The plant includes an ISO 8 cleanroom environment and high-precision production processes tailored for advanced power electronics. It also houses specialised testing infrastructure that validates product performance under demanding real-world conditions.
As part of its future roadmap, Exicom plans to establish India’s first EV charger interoperability testing centre at the facility, aimed at ensuring seamless compatibility of EV chargers across different vehicle platforms.
In addition, the Hyderabad unit will manufacture TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules developed by Tritium, bringing global EV charging technologies closer to the Indian market.
Exicom MD & CEO Anant Nahata said the facility represents the company’s commitment to engineering excellence and scalable innovation.
“These capabilities allow us to innovate faster and scale with confidence. At the same time, the plant itself is a thoughtfully designed, visually striking space that reflects the care and craftsmanship behind our technology,” Nahata added.
