Indri Single Malt Whisky has partnered with The Dram Club to launch ‘Indri Rudhira’, a limited-edition expression matured in Pineau des Charentes casks, priced at ₹12,500 in Bengaluru.
With only 252 individually numbered bottles, the release ranks among the rarest expressions from an Indian whisky brand, targeting collectors and premium whisky enthusiasts.
Focus on rarity and innovation
Developed in collaboration with The Dram Club, the expression is positioned as a niche offering crafted for connoisseurs seeking distinctive and limited releases.
The whisky, produced in the village of Indri in Haryana, combines smoky, fruity and oaky notes, resulting in a layered and balanced profile.
Expanding premium portfolio
The launch marks a strategic step in Indri’s effort to strengthen its premium positioning in the fast-growing Indian single malt segment.
By experimenting with Pineau des Charentes cask maturation, the company is exploring new flavour profiles and differentiating its offerings in a competitive market.
“Rudhira represents a new chapter for Indri and for Indian single malts. By becoming the first distillery in India to create something truly unique in this space, we have stepped into an uncharted territory in whisky making. This was never just about releasing a limited edition; it was about challenging convention and reimagining what Indian single malts can achieve.
Our collaboration with The Dram Club gave us the opportunity to craft a whisky that combines innovation with rarity, an expression that reflects both Indri’s pioneering spirit and our commitment to pushing the boundaries of Indian single malt,” Piccadily Agro Industries, Head of Marketing, Shalini Sharma.
Collaboration with enthusiast community
The partnership with The Dram Club reflects a broader trend of brands engaging directly with enthusiast communities to co-create products and build deeper consumer engagement.
The limited release underscores the growing demand for premium, collectible whiskies among Indian consumers and the evolving sophistication of the domestic market.
“The Dram Club was built around the idea of bringing whisky enthusiasts together to explore and appreciate great drams. With Rudhira, we had the opportunity to go beyond experiences and collaborate on a unique expression with Indri. The result is a limited release that reflects curiosity, craftsmanship and the growing appetite among Indian whisky lovers for distinctive and collectible single malts,” The Dram Club, Co-founder, Swati Sharma.
