LG Electronics India is making the recently inaugurated Prime Minister’s Office building, Seva Teerth, literally cool.
The company has played a key role in enhancing the comfort and efficiency of the Seva Teerth, by deploying its advanced climate control solutions.
It has installed a state-of-the-art HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system, ensuring reliable and energy-efficient cooling across the sprawling building.
High-capacity VRF system for a landmark building
At the core of the installation is a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air-conditioning system with a total capacity of 1,590 horsepower, comprising 113 outdoor units.
The system was manufactured at LG Electronics India’s Pune facility, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
Engineered for Indian conditions
Designed specifically for India’s demanding climate, the VRF systems are capable of operating at full capacity without deration even at temperatures of up to 39°C, as per internal testing standards. This ensures consistent and efficient cooling performance during peak summer months.
The system also incorporates advanced energy-efficient technologies and features enhanced durability through black fin heat exchangers, enabling reliable performance even in high ambient conditions.
Smart Controls for Intelligent Operations
To further enhance operational efficiency, the installation includes LG’s AC Smart 5 Intelligent Control Platform, with eight units deployed across the facility.
This enables centralised management, real-time monitoring, and optimised system performance, key requirements for large institutional buildings.
Bets on future-ready infrastructure
LG Electronics India MD Hong Ju Jeon said:“We are honoured to contribute to the Prime Minister’s Office building, Seva Teerth. As India undergoes a transformative phase of infrastructure development, the need for intelligent and energy-efficient climate control systems is becoming increasingly critical. LG Electronics India aims to support this transition by delivering cutting-edge technologies that enable future-ready infrastructure.”
Strengthening presence in institutional infrastructure
This project marks another milestone in LG Electronics India’s contribution to modern infrastructure development. It highlights the company’s growing footprint in the commercial air-conditioning segment and its capability to deliver high-efficiency VRF systems for large-scale, mission-critical facilities.
