Tata Chemicals Ltd has achieved a production milestone of one million tonnes of soda ash at its Mithapur facility in Gujarat during FY26, underscoring its operational scale and efficiency.
The company said the achievement reflects strong cross-functional collaboration across operations, maintenance, utilities, logistics, procurement, quality, safety and support teams.

The contribution of the marketing and sales teams also played a key role in enabling the milestone, ensuring alignment between production and market demand.
Employees at the Mithapur site marked the occasion with a commemorative plaque inauguration and unveiling of a miniature one-millionth tonne soda ash bag.

The milestone further strengthens Tata Chemicals’ position in the global soda ash market and highlights its focus on efficiency, reliability and sustainable operations.
Part of the $180 billion Tata Group, the company is a key supplier to glass, detergent, industrial and chemical sectors, and also has a presence in crop protection through its subsidiary Rallis India.
