Leading hospitality chain Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd has expanded its footprint in Nepal with the signing of Lemon Tree Hotel, Simara, to be managed by its subsidiary Carnation Hotels Pvt Ltd.
With the proposed addition of 98 keys, the company will have seven properties in Nepal, including two operational and five upcoming hotels.
Strengthening presence in emerging markets
The expansion reflects Lemon Tree Hotels’ strategy of building a strong presence across high-growth gateway cities and transit-led markets.
As Nepal’s tourism sector evolves, demand for branded and reliable hospitality is increasingly expanding beyond traditional destinations.
Strategic location advantage
Simara, located just 2 km from Simara Airport, is emerging as a key hub connecting industrial corridors with eco-tourism destinations.
The new property is expected to cater to both business and leisure travellers, offering connectivity and infrastructure aligned with Nepal’s growing travel ecosystem.
Growth outlook
Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd, Managing Director & CEO, Neelendra Singh, said: “We believe Nepal is a structurally attractive market, where demand is expanding beyond traditional destinations into a wider network of gateway and transit-led cities.”
He added that the Simara signing strengthens the company’s regional portfolio while supporting long-term growth.
The development underscores Lemon Tree Hotels’ continued focus on scaling its presence in strategically located, high-growth international markets.
