Swiggy, Ixigo And ConfirmTkt To Offer Food Delivery Across 160 Rail Stations

CW Bureau ·

Train journeys in India are getting a major upgrade, with Swiggy partnering ixigo Trains and ConfirmTkt to roll out an expanded ‘On Train Food Service’ across 160 railway stations.

Passengers can now order fresh, hygienic and authentic regional favourites, from vada pav and adai to appam, litti chokha and biryani, from over 40,000 restaurants, with real-time tracking and delivery straight to their berths.

Food Meets Mobility

The integration brings Swiggy’s vast restaurant network directly into ixigo and ConfirmTkt apps, solving a long-standing pain point for rail travellers: reliable, quality food on the move.

Meals can be pre-booked from up to four days in advance to as late as 30 minutes before train arrival at a station. Swiggy is also offering an “assured delivery or full refund” guarantee, adding a layer of reliability to the service.

Wider Choice, Better Experience

The collaboration significantly expands food options for travellers, allowing them to choose between popular national brands and local culinary staples across cities.

Whether sticking to familiar meals or exploring regional dishes along the journey, passengers can now enjoy a seamless ordering experience with doorstep (or rather, berth-side) delivery.
