HCC Bags ₹2,917-Cr CIDCO Water Infrastructure Project In Maharashtra

Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC) has secured an infrastructure contract worth ₹2,917 crore from City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd for construction of a 22.21 km raw water tunnel and a 250 MLD water treatment plant in Raigad.

The project has been awarded to the LCESPL-HCC joint venture, with HCC’s share of execution pegged at around ₹1,100 crore.

Project scope

The contract involves design and construction of a 22.21 km raw water tunnel using Tunnel Boring Machine technology to transport water from Kondhane Dam in Karjat to a proposed 250 MLD water treatment plant at Mohope in Panvel.

The scope also includes design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the treatment plant, along with 15 years of operation and maintenance under a design-build-operate model.
