Eco Hotels & Resorts Ltd has opened the 58-room Eco Satva Shirdi in Maharashtra, strengthening its presence in the State and expanding its hospitality portfolio across pilgrimage, leisure and business destinations.
The launch is part of the company’s strategy to build a diversified portfolio across strategically important markets. With the addition of the Shirdi property, Eco Hotels has crossed 280 operational rooms.
Portfolio expansion gains pace
The company is set to add a 52-room property in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar in October and a 16-room boutique hotel in Ayodhya within the next 45 days. These additions are expected to take its portfolio to around 350 rooms ahead of Diwali.
“Shirdi has significant potential as a year-round pilgrimage and tourism destination. We see an opportunity to build a strong hospitality presence by offering comfortable accommodation and differentiated food and beverage experiences,” Executive Chairman, Vinod Kumar Tripathi.
Management comment
Our focus is on creating a scalable business platform that can support the company’s next phase of growth,” he said.
“Shirdi is not only an important spiritual and pilgrimage destination but is also emerging as a promising business hub, with the Maharashtra Government focusing on developing the region through the introduction of a new MIDC,” said Eco Hotels Group, Director Finance and CFO, Vikram Doshi.
Shirdi offers year-round demand
Located on Nagar Manmad Road in Nimgaon Korhale, Shirdi, the property has been developed to cater to visitors travelling to the major pilgrimage destination.
The company sees Shirdi as an opportunity to strengthen its presence in a market supported by year-round pilgrimage tourism while expanding its portfolio across different destination categories.
Focus on occupancy and expansion
With growing economic and spiritual activity in the region, the company expects to drive occupancy and improve average room rates at the Shirdi property.
Eco Hotels said its expansion strategy remains focused on increasing its presence in strategically relevant destinations while building a diversified portfolio across pilgrimage, leisure and business markets.
The company expects the Shirdi launch to contribute to its broader growth plans as it continues to expand its operational footprint.
