Maruti Suzuki India has introduced the new Baleno, targeting young and ambitious urban customers with a refreshed premium design, advanced safety features and improved fuel efficiency.

Developed around the philosophy of ‘Dare to go Glam’, the new Baleno adopts a more premium and progressive design language aimed at enhancing its road presence and appeal in the premium hatchback segment.

Bookings open at ₹11,000
Bookings for the new Baleno are now open at ₹11,000, with prices starting at ₹6,09,900 (ex-showroom). The hatchback introduces segment-first features, including Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with a radar and camera combination, along with ventilated front seats and plush leatherette upholstery.

Maruti Suzuki India, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Partho Banerjee said the Baleno has been a key pillar for NEXA and the premium hatchback segment for nearly a decade.

“The Stunning New Baleno is now here to redefine customer expectations with the introduction of segment-first features including Level 2 ADAS, and an unmistakable new identity established with a modern rendition of the signature NEXWave grille,” Banerjee said.

Premium design
The new Baleno features a redesigned front fascia centred around a new interpretation of the signature NEXWave grille. The wider grille features prominent 3D patterns and horizontal chrome slats, enhancing the car’s stance and visual width.

The new sculpted front bumper and lower grille add to its styling, while a new chrome-accented fender garnish brings a more sophisticated look. NEXTre’ LED DRLs continue to add to the car’s distinctive appearance.

The new Baleno is offered in seven colour options, including the new Enigmatic Teal shade, inspired by the depths of the sea and digital fusion.

New Z12E engine
The new Baleno is powered by the Advanced Z12E powertrain, which delivers maximum power of 61 kW at 5,700 rpm and peak torque of 112.4 Nm at 4,500 rpm.

The engine comes with Idle Start-Stop technology and Dual VVT, designed to balance driving performance with lower CO2 emissions.

Improved fuel efficiency
The Z12E engine is available with a five-speed manual transmission and Auto Gear Shift (AGS) automatic transmission.

The manual variant delivers fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l, while the AGS version returns 24.77 km/l. This represents improvements of 6.4% and 7.9%, respectively, over the predecessor.

The Baleno S-CNG, powered by the Z12E engine and paired with a five-speed manual transmission, delivers 33.61 km/kg in S-CNG mode, an improvement of 9.8% over the previous model.

With its combination of refreshed styling, Level 2 ADAS, enhanced convenience features and improved efficiency, the new Baleno strengthens Maruti Suzuki’s offering in the premium hatchback segment.
