CW Bureau ·

ZVC India, part of Zoom Communications, Inc, has appointed Arijit Dey as channel leader for India and SAARC, strengthening its focus on expanding the partner ecosystem amid growing demand for AI-powered workplace and customer experience solutions.

With over 24 years of experience in enterprise sales, business development and strategic partnerships across the technology and telecommunications sectors, Dey will lead Zoom’s channel strategy across the India and SAARC markets.

Focus on channel-led growth
In his new role, Dey will be responsible for deepening partner engagement, accelerating channel-led growth and enabling partners to deliver greater value to customers through Zoom’s AI-powered collaboration and customer experience offerings.

The appointment comes as organisations increasingly seek technology solutions that simplify work processes, enhance customer engagement and improve business outcomes through artificial intelligence.

Strengthening partner ecosystem
Zoom Head of APAC Partners, Jacob Pereira said, “Our partner ecosystem is central to how we bring Zoom’s innovations to our customers across India and SAARC.”

He added, “Arijit brings deep channel expertise and a strong track record of building strategic alliances that drive growth. As organizations increasingly look to AI to improve how work gets done, his leadership will help our partners deliver greater value to customers and capture new opportunities.”

Industry veteran joins Zoom
Before joining Zoom, Dey served as Director of Strategic Partnerships at Genesys, where he played a key role in driving Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) growth through collaborations with service providers, global systems integrators and customer experience partners.

Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions across telecommunications companies and technology startups, helping build enterprise businesses, expand partner networks and lead growth-focused teams.

India and SAARC remain key growth markets
Zoom General Manager & Head, India & SAARC, Sameer Raje, said, “Organizations in India and SAARC are looking beyond productivity gains and asking how AI can help them drive better customer and employee experiences, make faster decisions, and achieve stronger business outcomes.”

He added, “Partners are critical to helping customers realize that value, and Arijit’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the ecosystem that supports our customers in this growth region.”

Driving AI-powered collaboration
Commenting on his appointment, Dey said he looks forward to working closely with partners across the region to accelerate the adoption of modern collaboration and customer experience technologies.

“Zoom has built a strong reputation for innovation and partner success, and I look forward to working with, empowering, and growing this ecosystem to further strengthen Zoom’s presence in the market,” he said.

Expanding partner opportunities
Zoom said it will continue to strengthen its channel-first strategy through the Zoom Up Partner Program, providing partners with enhanced tools, streamlined processes, deeper engagement opportunities and broader access to the company’s expanding portfolio of workplace, customer experience and AI-powered solutions.

The company’s integrated offerings include Zoom Workplace, Zoom Phone, Zoom Contact Center, Zoom Events and ZoomMate, which together help organisations connect conversations, content and context to improve execution and business outcomes.
