VIDA, the electric mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, has secured multiple honours at the Red Dot Design Concept Awards 2026, with its VIDA NOVUS series and VIDA DIRT.E MX7 winning recognition for their design and engineering innovation.
The awards cover the VIDA NOVUS series, NEX 1, NEX 2 and NEX 3, as well as the high-performance VIDA DIRT.E MX7, strengthening the electric mobility brand’s growing global design credentials.
The recognition follows the success of the VIDA DIRT.E K3, which received the same honour last year.
According to VIDA, the latest awards reinforce its approach of developing future-ready mobility solutions centred on purposeful, human-first design rather than conventional vehicle categories.
Designing for everyday mobility
The VIDA NOVUS concepts have been designed as a range of mobility solutions addressing different everyday transportation requirements.
The NEX 1 is designed to address short and fragmented journey segments through a portable, human-scale mobility device that can also function as a backpack.
The NEX 2 combines the agility of a two-wheeler with enhanced safety and multi-use functionality, while the NEX 3 is positioned as a personal, all-weather mobility solution designed to offer greater protection and convenience without the footprint of a conventional car.
The company said the three concepts reflect its attempt to reimagine electric mobility around real-world movement and diverse user requirements.
Expanding into off-road electric mobility
The VIDA DIRT.E MX7 represents the brand’s move into the mid-size off-road electric motorcycle segment.
Built on VIDA’s dedicated mid-size off-road platform, the MX7 is designed to deliver agility and control while providing riders with a stronger connection to off-road riding.
VIDA is also building on this platform through the DIRT.E K3, which features a size-adaptive architecture designed to grow alongside young riders.
The company positions the K3 as a safer and scalable entry point into electric off-road riding, while also highlighting sustainability as part of the product’s development philosophy.
Global design recognition
The Red Dot Design Award is regarded as an international benchmark for design excellence and innovation. Entries are evaluated by an independent panel of global experts, with the award serving as an international recognition of design quality.
Hero MotoCorp, Chief Business Officer, Emerging Mobility Business Unit, Kausalya Nandakumar, said design is a key catalyst for innovation at VIDA and influences not only the appearance of its products but also how mobility is experienced.
She said the recognition for the VIDA DIRT.E series and VIDA NOVUS concepts validates the company’s design and engineering capabilities and its efforts to develop new mobility solutions.
“These consecutive Red Dot honours are a powerful validation of our global design dominance as we continue to set new benchmarks for the future of mobility,” Nandakumar said.
The latest awards add to VIDA’s growing portfolio of international design recognition as the brand seeks to establish itself in the emerging electric and future mobility space.
