TVS Motor Company is stepping up its European expansion with four production-ready models unveiled at EICMA 2026 in Milan, as the two-wheeler manufacturer seeks to increase the contribution of international business to 30% or more of its overall revenue by 2030.
The new models – TVS Orbiter, TVS M1-S, TVS X and TVS RTR 125 – span electric commuting, premium urban mobility and lightweight sports motorcycling, reflecting the company’s strategy to build a stronger presence in developed international markets.
The unveiling comes as TVS Motor strengthens its European distribution and aftersales network, backed by investments in engineering, technology and product development. The company showcased 19 vehicles at the Milan exhibition, with the four new models forming the production-ready portfolio intended for European customers.
Europe is emerging as an important market in TVS Motor’s international growth strategy. The company has expanded its retail presence from Italy into Spain and Portugal, with further network development planned in France and Germany.
Its Italian network now comprises more than 100 retailers, while another 22 retailers are operational across Spain and Portugal. TVS Motor said its sales in Italy have increased by 110% over the past year.
TVS Motor Company President, International Business, Peyman Kargar said Europe was an important market and a key component of the company’s international growth plans, with opportunities across electric mobility, performance motorcycles and premium urban transportation.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening distribution, dealer capabilities and aftersales services alongside introducing products suited to European riding requirements.
Kargar, who has more than three decades of international automotive leadership experience, has also been appointed Director and Chief Executive Officer of TVS Motor Company with effect from January 27, 2027. He will succeed K. N. Radhakrishnan.
Four models target distinct mobility segments
The four models unveiled at EICMA address different customer requirements, ranging from affordable urban electric mobility to premium connected scooters and entry-level performance motorcycles.
The TVS Orbiter is positioned as an accessible electric mobility option for everyday urban commuting. The European-specification model will be offered with two battery configurations of 1.8 kWh and 3.1 kWh, delivering expected WMTC ranges of 70 km and 105 km, respectively.
With a top speed of 45 kmph, the scooter falls under Europe’s L1e vehicle category. Its removable battery arrangement allows users to charge the battery either on the scooter or separately using a household power socket and dedicated charging dock. The model also features 34 litres of underseat storage.
The TVS M1-S, meanwhile, targets the maxi-scooter segment, combining electric propulsion with the practicality and comfort required for urban and suburban travel.
Powered by a 4.2 kWh battery, the M1-S delivers peak power of 12.5 kW and a top speed of 105 kmph. Its battery is positioned low in the floorboard to improve weight distribution and handling. The scooter supports 10-80% charging in 75 minutes and offers 26 litres of storage space.
The premium TVS X is positioned as a technology-led electric scooter for customers seeking higher performance and advanced connectivity.
Its electric motor produces peak power of 11.7 kW, enabling acceleration from 0-40 kmph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 110 kmph. The scooter features an aluminium frame, 14-inch front and rear wheels and dual-channel ABS.
A 10.2-inch panoramic touchscreen integrates Android Auto and full-map navigation, while independent LTE connectivity provides connected features without requiring a paired smartphone.
RTR 125 strengthens lightweight motorcycle portfolio
Alongside the three electric scooters, TVS Motor introduced the RTR 125, targeting younger customers and first-time performance motorcycle buyers in Europe.
Developed for A1 licence holders, the 125 cc motorcycle draws on the company’s racing heritage, which dates back to 1982. It is intended to offer an accessible entry point into sports motorcycling while retaining the performance and handling characteristics associated with the TVS Racing brand.
The model will complement the company’s existing European motorcycle portfolio, which includes the RR 310, RTR 310, Ronin and RTX 300.
The RTX 300, showcased at EICMA 2025, is also scheduled to reach European dealerships, strengthening TVS Motor’s presence in the adventure touring segment.
Over $1 billion invested in electric mobility ecosystem
TVS Motor is leveraging its global electric mobility experience to expand its international EV portfolio. The company has sold more than one million electric scooters globally and invested over $1 billion in electric vehicle and battery ecosystems.
Its international engineering capabilities span India, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Bologna in Italy. The establishment of its Global Centre of Excellence for Design and Engineering in Bologna, following the acquisition of Engines Engineering S.p.A., has strengthened its product development capabilities for premium and technologically advanced markets.
The company said its engineering network would enable it to combine large-scale manufacturing capabilities with specialised expertise in design, electric powertrains, connected technologies and performance engineering.
’82 Series celebrates racing heritage
Beyond the four production-ready models, TVS Motor’s 19-vehicle showcase at EICMA includes the first global presentation of its ’82 Series.
The collection comprises special one-off editions of the RR 310, RTR 310, RTX 300 and Ronin, celebrating the company’s racing heritage and its efforts to transfer motorsport learning into products for everyday customers.
TVS Motor will announce market-specific pricing, final specifications and availability timelines for the four new models closer to their respective European launches.
EICMA 2026 will be open to the public from November 5 to 8 at Fiera Milano in Italy. The TVS Motor stand is located in Hall 18, Stand I64, with the Orbiter, M1-S and TVS X available for test rides at the designated area
