Nissan has unveiled the Nissan PIXO, a compact electric city car designed specifically for European urban markets, combining a 259 km range with rapid charging, connected technology and a flexible interior.
The PIXO expands Nissan’s all-electric vehicle line-up in Europe and is positioned as an accessible EV for everyday urban mobility.
259 km range and rapid charging
The PIXO offers a claimed 259 km electric range and comes with 50 kW DC rapid charging as standard across the range. The battery can be charged from 15% to 80% in 28 minutes, while 11 kW AC charging is available for home and workplace charging.
The model uses an all-new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, marking the first use of the battery chemistry in a Nissan model in Europe.
The EV also features One-Pedal technology, allowing drivers to accelerate, decelerate and bring the vehicle to a stop using the accelerator pedal, which Nissan says is suited to stop-and-go city traffic.
Compact dimensions, flexible interior
At 3,796 mm long and 1,790 mm wide, the PIXO is designed to navigate narrow urban streets and tight parking spaces.
Despite its compact footprint, the vehicle can accommodate up to four adults. Independent sliding rear seats allow occupants to adjust cabin space according to passenger and luggage requirements.
The PIXO offers 18 litres of in-cabin storage and a 356-litre boot, including 50 litres of dedicated cable storage, with the rear seats raised.
Gemini comes to A-segment EV
Nissan has integrated Google built-in, including Gemini, into the PIXO, making it the first A-segment model to offer the technology, according to the company.
Gemini will be available in 16 languages and dialects at launch and will support navigation, entertainment and communication through voice interaction. Conversation history allows the system to retain driver preferences and provide a more personalised experience.
The connected technology package also includes real-time route planning, MyNissan app connectivity and connected vehicle functions.
The cabin features a 7-inch driver display and 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while Face ID can recognise drivers and automatically load personalised settings.
Built for urban agility
The PIXO is powered by an all-electric drivetrain producing a maximum 60 kW. Its 9.9-metre turning circle is designed to improve manoeuvrability in confined urban environments.
Standard driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Lane Departure Warning and Hands-Free Parking.
Nissan Global Design Lead Exterior Designer Masato Koyama said the compact dimensions of the PIXO had been combined with packaging designed to maximise interior space.
Production in Slovenia
The PIXO has been designed by Nissan and will be manufactured by its long-standing partner Renault at Renault’s Novo Mesto facility in Slovenia.
Nissan said customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in early 2027. Pricing, market specifications and pre-order details are expected to be announced from December.
