Reliance Jio has signed a 25-year agreement with ACES India Pvt Ltd to provide 4G and 5G mobile connectivity across Mumbai Metro Aqua Line-3, covering its underground stations and tunnels.
Under the partnership, Jio will deliver mobile services over the infrastructure deployed by ACES India, enabling high-capacity data, voice and digital connectivity across the metro network.
Infrastructure to cover 27 stations
Spanning about 33.5 km and 27 stations, the network infrastructure has been designed to support an ultimate capacity of more than 625 million passengers annually.
The deployment will provide connectivity across stations, platforms, concourses and underground tunnels, allowing commuters to access high-speed data, voice and digital services throughout their journey.
Partnership to support digital infrastructure
The agreement strengthens ACES India’s position as a neutral digital infrastructure provider and creates a scalable platform to support rising mobile data consumption and next-generation digital services across Mumbai’s metro network.
