Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand VIDA has made its international debut by entering the Nepal market through a distribution partnership with CG Motors, marking the beginning of the brand’s global expansion strategy.
The partnership with CG Motors, part of Nepal’s Chaudhary Group, will bring the VIDA VX2 Evooter range and the VIDA Dirt.E K3 youth off-road electric motorcycle to Nepalese customers.
Strategic international expansion
The launch marks VIDA’s first overseas market as Hero MotoCorp looks to expand its electric mobility footprint beyond India.
CG Motors, a part of the diversified Chaudhary Group, operates a network of more than 160 companies and 123 brands globally, providing VIDA with an established distribution and service platform in Nepal.
Products tailored for Nepal
The company said the VIDA VX2 Evooter portfolio has been designed to meet the needs of urban commuters by offering an optimal riding range, robust performance and advanced connected technologies. The scooter was recently ranked highest in the JD Power Two-Wheeler Initial Quality Study.
For adventure enthusiasts, VIDA will also introduce the Dirt.E K3, an electric off-road motorcycle aimed at younger riders.
Two VX2 variants
The VX2 Evooter lineup comprises two variants, VX2 Plus and VX2 Go. The VX2 Plus is powered by dual removable 2.2 kWh batteries, offering a combined 4.4 kWh battery pack. It delivers a real-world range of 140 km, a top speed of 90 kmph, and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 3.1 seconds. The scooter also supports DC fast charging, enabling a 0-80% charge in 65 minutes.
The VX2 Go comes with a single 2.2 kWh removable battery, offering a real-world range of 75 km, a top speed of 70 kmph, and 0-40 kmph acceleration in 4.2 seconds. It also supports DC fast charging, reaching 80% charge in 65 minutes.
Both models feature removable batteries that can be charged using a standard 5A household socket, along with connected features such as the My VIDA app, navigation, geo-fencing, call and SMS alerts, and over-the-air software updates.
