WACKER Chemie AG, a global chemicals and biotechnology company, has established a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, India, in collaboration with HCLTech, to strengthen its engineering, IT and digital transformation capabilities.
The GCC will provide WACKER with a flexible and resilient delivery foundation to support its global operations and accelerate digital execution.
The Pune centre is expected to play a key role in WACKER’s long-term digital and engineering transformation initiatives, while strengthening governance, operational efficiency and technology delivery capabilities.
Important step for WACKER

Focus on automation and DevSecOps
HCLTech will support the Pune GCC through a phased, customer-centric operating model. The technology services company will leverage its expertise in DevSecOps and automation to build a high-performing team and strengthen the centre’s technology delivery capabilities.

WACKER develops and manufactures specialty chemical products used across a wide range of everyday applications, from tile adhesives to semiconductor manufacturing.
The company operates a global network comprising 27 production sites, 22 technical competence centres and 47 sales offices.
