TajSATS Opens In-Flight Kitchen At Noida International Airport, Jewar

CW Bureau ·

TajSATS, India’s largest airline catering company and a subsidiary of Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL), has announced the opening of a new in-flight kitchen at Noida International Airport in Jewar, strengthening its presence in the Delhi-NCR region.

The new facility is aimed at supporting the growing aviation sector while expanding the company’s capabilities across airline, institutional and corporate catering segments.

Strategic addition to network
Located within Noida International Airport, the in-flight kitchen has been designed to serve both domestic and international airlines operating from the upcoming aviation hub.

The facility spans 45,000 sq. ft and has an initial production capacity of more than 20,000 meals per day, with the ability to scale operations as passenger traffic and airline demand increase.

Supporting aviation growth
TajSATS Chief Executive Officer Manish Gupta said, “The facility marks a significant addition to TajSATS’ network, strengthening its presence in the Delhi NCR region and is a strategic step in aligning our capabilities with the next phase of aviation growth in India.”

He added, “As airport infrastructure develops, this facility in a high-growth corridor allows us to partner airlines while also enabling the growth of other institutional catering segments in the region.”

Equipped with advanced infrastructure
The facility incorporates advanced culinary and safety technologies to support efficient operations and high food safety standards.

Key infrastructure includes X-ray machines, goods scanners and modern operational equipment. The unit also features extensive bonded warehousing and dedicated airline storage facilities to support long-term customer partnerships.

Dedicated gourmet innovation space
A key highlight of the facility is ‘The Atelier’, a dedicated tasting room designed to provide a collaborative platform for chefs and airline partners.

The space will enable the development, presentation and refinement of customised gourmet meal offerings tailored to airline requirements and passenger preferences.

Expanding beyond aviation
In addition to airline catering, the new facility will support TajSATS’ expansion into institutional and corporate food service segments in the Delhi-NCR region through its subsidiary, Nekta Food Solutions Ltd.

The company said the investment reflects its strategy of strengthening its catering infrastructure in high-growth markets while supporting the evolving needs of airlines and institutional clients.

With the launch of the Jewar facility, TajSATS further expands its national catering network and positions itself to capitalise on the next phase of growth in India’s aviation and food services sectors.
