Coforge Unveils AI Adoption Fabric For Enterprise Agentic Development

CW Bureau ·

Coforge Ltd, a global AI-native engineering services company, has unveiled a new AI Adoption Fabric aimed at helping enterprises overcome governance, change management and operating model challenges associated with scaling agentic software development.

The new framework is designed to help organisations assess workforce readiness, redesign software development operating models and scale AI-powered development initiatives across the enterprise.

As enterprises step up investments in AI coding assistants and autonomous development tools, Coforge said initial productivity improvements often fail to translate into sustainable, enterprise-wide transformation. Its Adoption Fabric is intended to bridge this gap by combining technology adoption with organisational and operational change.

Three-pronged change framework
Coforge’s methodology brings together three change management disciplines,  Kotter’s Change Model, Prosci’s ADKAR framework and Operational Change Management (OpCM).

Kotter’s model is used to build executive alignment and organisational momentum, while ADKAR focuses on driving adoption at the individual level. OpCM, meanwhile, addresses changes required in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to enable agentic development at scale.

The approach is based on Coforge’s experience working with enterprises on AI-led development initiatives.

Tackling barriers to AI adoption
According to Coforge, organisations attempting to scale agentic development pilots commonly encounter challenges such as developers reverting to traditional workflows, governance policies that are not suited to AI-driven development and adoption metrics that fail to reflect the health of day-to-day development processes.

The Adoption Fabric provides a workforce readiness roadmap and practical guidance for redefining key elements of the SDLC, including code reviews, testing, requirements management, quality controls and team responsibilities.

The framework is aimed at helping enterprises establish operating models and governance structures that can support AI-driven software development while maintaining quality and accountability.

From AI investment to business outcomes
“The most successful organisations treat agentic development as an enterprise transformation initiative rather than a technology project. That requires new ways to manage, measure, and scale AI-driven development,” said Coforge’s Chief AI Commercial Officer Anup Nair.

“Our adoption fabric provides a structured approach to transforming delivery models, governance, and workforce behaviours, helping organisations translate AI investments into measurable, sustainable business outcomes at speed,” Nair added.

Coforge’s latest initiative comes as enterprises increasingly move beyond experimentation with generative AI and agentic tools, placing greater emphasis on integrating AI into core technology and business processes while ensuring workforce adoption, governance and measurable returns.
