DePuy Synthes Plans Bengaluru GCC, Set To Recruit Over 500 Professionals

DePuy Synthes, a global leader in orthopaedics, is set to establish a new global capability centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, strengthening its focus on innovation, engineering and enterprise services.

The new centre will bring together technology, data and business capabilities to support clinical innovation and operational excellence for patients, surgeons and healthcare partners globally.

The GCC is expected to host a range of technology and digital disciplines, including software development, data and artificial intelligence (AI), enterprise applications, technology services and cybersecurity, among others.

500 professionals to be hired
Over the next 18–24 months, DePuy Synthes expects to build a team of approximately 500 professionals in Bengaluru, with scope for further expansion as the centre matures.

The centre will be led by DePuy Chief Information Officer Synthes Nicholas Parrotta. The company will also draw on experienced technology leaders to support the planning, establishment and future operations of the GCC.

DePuy Synthes Chief Technology Officer Dr Jai Ganesh will provide leadership for technology engineering, architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity engineering and digital platforms.

DePuy Synthes GCC Leader  Nagaraj Bhat will assist in establishing local operations and building the centre’s leadership team.

The Bengaluru centre is expected to be established in phases, with initial operational activities, including recruitment, beginning in August 2026.

The GCC will serve as a global engine for innovation, engineering and enterprise services, leveraging Bengaluru’s technology talent and capabilities to support DePuy Synthes’ operations and innovation agenda worldwide.
