Yamaha Motor Opens Robotics Sales And Service Facility In Gurugram

Yamaha Motor Co Ltd has opened a new sales and service facility for its robotics business in Gurugram, Haryana, as the Japanese company looks to strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing manufacturing and automation sector.

The facility, named the Robotics Business Support Division, has been established within Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (YMIS), which primarily manages sales of motorcycles and other Yamaha products in India.

Focus on industrial automation
The company said India’s manufacturing sector has witnessed significant growth and rising sophistication in recent years, with the robotics market also showing strong expansion momentum.

Yamaha Motor said the new division has been created to strengthen sales and service operations for Yamaha-branded robotics products in India, streamline business processes and support continued investments in the country.

The Robotics Business Support Division will initially focus on supporting SMT Assembly Systems and industrial robots before expanding capabilities for semiconductor back-end processing equipment.

Showroom to showcase robotics solutions
The Gurugram facility also houses a dedicated showroom displaying Yamaha Motor’s latest robotics technologies and automation solutions.

According to the company, the showroom has been designed to provide customers with a hands-on experience of Yamaha’s robotics products and help them better visualise real-world deployment at manufacturing facilities.

The company said the initiative is aimed at helping clients address production challenges and improve productivity through automation-led solutions.

India seen as growth market
Yamaha Motor said the establishment of the robotics support division reflects its confidence in the long-term growth potential of India’s manufacturing and industrial automation ecosystem.

The company added that it sees considerable opportunity to further strengthen brand recognition and scale up its robotics business operations in the Indian market.
